Ovechkin: I’ll join the National Team if the insurance issue is resolved
Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin told “Sport-Express” about a problem which may keep him from playing in the World Championship in Canada.
-"I don’t know for sure right now. I have to talk with our general manager George Mcphee about whether or not I can play in the World Championship—said Ovechkin. –It all depends on insurance. When you’ve got a contract like mine, you can’t manage without it. All of these issues have to be resolved."
-"I played the last two games on painkillers. Is it a serious injury? If it wasn’t serious I wouldn’t have taken the injections."— commented the forward on the state of his health. Alexander also confirmed that if the insurance issue can be resolved he will absolutely play in the World Championship.
“Absolutely, 100% yes!”
