Hi boys and girls! You want to know what I regret right now? I regret that the good times– summer, relaxation, vacation, have all flown by too quickly. Oh well, time to get ready for a new season.

A lot of things happened with me this summer.

Of course you all remember the last world championship. I’ve already told a lot of people that I would just as soon forget about it. Such things happen.

First I relaxed a little bit. Then I happily took Sergei Gonchar’s suggestion and, under the guidance of Coach Dmitiry Kapitanov, a bunch of us guys in the NHL got ready for a season in St. Petersburg. It was great- there weren’t any tense moments. Then the guys stayed to train a little bit more and I flew to Moscow. I worked a little with Dynamo, then was by myself…..

Too soon I’ll have to fly across the ocean once again. I have a ticket in my pocket for September 7. But before I leave we will talk again for sure
