Tuvanhillbilly 3.0

Welcome to the latest version of tuvanhillbilly.com! This site is dedicated to the Russian born players for the Washington Capitals– Alexander Ovechkin, Alexander Semin, Sergei Fedorov and Victor Kozlov (plus Simeon Varlamov, who will be a Cap before you know it!).  This site started as a repository for an English-language translation of Alex Ovechkin’s personal blog in Russian, and has grown to include English-language translations of  interviews and other news articles published in the Russian sporting press. If you’ve been here before, you can tell that there have been some big changes. I’ve been working on the new site little by little for the past few weeks, and I think it is finally ready to be revealed. The biggest core change is that the page is now truly in a blog format rather in a made-from-scratch website format. This now allows all the typical bloggy things like RSS feeds, comments on posts, widgets galore (including the translation widget on the top left!), and it makes it much, much easier for me to add updates. Of course with all new things there will be some bugs, so please let me know if you find something that is not working as it should.  I encourage you to poke around and play with things– for example, the first 500 words of every article can now be translated into a host of other languages just by clicking on the appropriate flag in the “translate” widget on the left. You can also subscribe to my site via an RSS feed by clicking on the RSS icon on the right.

**NOTE** Please let me know if the layout of the page is not working for you. I’ve tested in IE7, Chrome Firefox, and just today I think I finally got the IE6 compatibility issues fixed. (fingers crossed) Let me know if you have any problems and I’ll see what I can do.
